To access Bryophyta's lair, players will need a knife or a slash weapon to cut through the web if approaching via the Varrock Sewers. Members with level 51 Agility can bypass this by using the agility shortcut near Vannaka in the Edgeville Dungeon. Alternatively, a charged Giantsoul amulet can teleport players directly outside the entrance to her lair.

Unlike Obor’s chambers, where he is confined in a small pit, players are taken directly to Bryophyta’s chambers, where she attacks on sight. It is recommended to activate Protect from Magic before entering, or immediately upon entry, before opening the gate. Unlike with Obor, protection prayers are 100% effective on Bryophyta, although the player may still take melee damage from growthlings if praying Magic against the boss.
